Situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, in the centre of the Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya's rugged, semi-arid Northern Province, Samburu Serena Safari Lodge echoes the rhythms of riverfront life. This beautiful, peaceful lodge was inspired by the architecture of the indigenous Samburu tribe and blends into the verdant environment by making full use of native materials.
The Lodge has 62 rooms, or rather thatched cabins, which have been built using exotic African woods to create an escapist atmosphere. All guest rooms have private verandas with uninterrupted vistas of the river and the wildlife it attracts. Breezes off the river and overhead punkah fans keep accommodation cool. The interior decor of each room is directly inspired by traditions of the Samburu tribe.
Overlooking the outdoor swimming pool and the meandering river, the open air dining room serves guests meals
