Bushlands Game Lodge is centrally situated in Zululand, and
is surrounded by over 300 000 acres of national parks. Bushlands Game Lodge
offers luxurious wooden lodges built on stilts are elevated above a sand forest
where many local game species such as Zebra and Warthog wander around and are
often found roaming near the swimming pool area.
Each Lodge is en-suite and beautifully decorated in ethnic style fabrics, offset
by wooden furniture and trimmings. The Lodges are connected by raised wooden
walkways which lead to the main dining room, bar, swimming pool and Boma, where
guests enjoy drinks around the campfire before dinner. The resident chef prepares
mouth-watering meals and specialises in succulent venison and other game dishes.
The convenient location of Bushlands Game Lodge makes it a popular base from
which to visit the nearby attractions and Game Parks to spot "The Big Five"
(elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard).
A host of game drives to surrounding National Parks, half day or full day tours
and transfers, are available in Bushlands Game Lodge's 4 open game viewing vehicles.
Small game can be seen on the property, either from the viewing lounge or on
the Nyala Trail. Scuba diving, snorkelling, chartered fishing trips, a visit
to DumaZulu Traditional Village to experience a variety of Spectacular Zulu
traditions, or a cruise on Lake St Lucia to view crocodile and hippo, can be
easily arranged from the Lodge Reception.
