
Bushmans Kloof is a privately owned wilderness reserve and is world renowned for its 130 rock art sites. In recognition of its rich cultural, historical and environmental significance, Bushmans Kloof has been declared a South African Natural Heritage site. 270 Kilometres north of Cape Town, unique and unspoilt, this once hunting ground of the intrepid San, is home to an incredible variety of wildlife and plant species, and is a premier spring flower destination.
The lodge is renowned for its contemporary country cuisine,
award winning wine list and welcoming hospitality. Guest accommodation of an
excellent standard comprises seven luxury rooms and nine suites. For complete
privacy and exclusivity, the Manor House offers superlative accommodation in
four suites. All rooms boast designer en-suite bathrooms and private terraces
affording magnificent views. The homestead provides a central lounge with satellite
television, a library, billiard room, dining room and wine cellar.
Bushmans Kloof is a South African Natural Heritage site and is known as the
world's largest open-air art gallery. Located at the rugged foothills of the
Cederberg Mountains, the reserve has more than 125 pristine rock art sites,
some dating back 10 000 years. It is a wildlife sanctuary for 54 mammal species,
including the rare Cape Mountain Zebra. 140 bird species and more than 750 plant
species. Guests enjoy sunset game drives in open Land Rovers, birdwatching,
guided rock art walks and botanical tours, nature trails, abseiling, fly-fishing,
mountain hiking and swimming in clear rock pools.
