Chete Camp is a safari lodge located on an island hidden away in the western reaches of Lake Kariba in Zambia - it is on one of the Westlake Islands. These islands have remained remote and untouched since the Zambesi filled Kariba in 1959. This is an untouched wilderness which offers unique exploration opportunities.
There are no other inhabitants of Chete Island and wildlife includes Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Hyena, Hippo, Crocodile and a wide variety of antelope.
Eight comfortable, spacious Kenyan Meru style safari tents have been built to luxurious standards and are grouped round a secluded bay.
Each unit is thatched to keep it cool and comes with with en-suite fully fitted tiled bathrooms, running hot and cold water, ceiling fans, and mahogany beds and furniture. The is a swimming pool.
