In a setting that borders the ruins of a once great empire, lies in the town of Habarana 170 kms north-central of Colombo. The Village, was developed by John Keells Holdings as a transit stopover for clients going through to the east-cost beaches. But the natural assets and beauty here, and its strategic location for archaeological sight-seeing, were so overwhelming that The Village, and later The Lodge, grew to be resort destinations with their own distinct identities.
The Village with its rustic resort facilities has an appeal to nature lovers. Amongst 12 acres of wooded parkland.
