Genesis II is located high in the Talamanca Mountains of Costa Rica, a 1 ½ hour drive south from San Jose. At 2360 metres (7500 feet) above sea level the air is crisp. A 38 Hectare (95 Acres) property is part of a buffer zone to the largest protected area in southern Central America and is Costa Ricas newest and highest Private Wildlife Refuge.
The lodge is constructed of wood and is heated by a Vermont Castings wood stove (hot water showers by electricity), and is situated close to trails into the mature forest.
Four rooms with 2 single beds in each and a shared bathroom and hot water shower are available for guest accommodation. Luxurious beds with down comforters, room heaters, hot water bottles, and heated towel rack keep the rooms at pleasant temperatures.
A gravel path leads to a covered deck, which gives an overview of the area.
Meals are served home-style in a large dining/living room (or al-fresco on the balcony or covered deck).
