It is one of many beaches in the northerly province of Guanacaste, which area claims the last tropical-dry forest remaining on the planet. Bungalows and rooms feature a mezzanine bedroom with king-size bed, and sliding doors that open to a tropical garden. Private bathrooms include enclosed shower and deep bathtub with window view. Bedroom closets have wicker-mesh to let clothing breathe. Decor of natural stone floors harmonize with red hardwood trim, offset by sofas of greenish-blue. Halogen lamps inset in the ceiling provide lighting.

The bungalows and all of the rooms on the second floor are built in such a way that air conditioning is not needed. Rooms on the first floor have a/c. Each unit is equipped with a telephone, an FM/AM radio, a safety box and a small refrigerator.
