This hotel is an example of colonial architecture. Built in
1502 for the explorer Pedro Alvarado, in 1516 it became a Jesuit convent. In
the nineteenth century it was the residence of the poets Salome Ureña
and Pedro henríquez Ureña, as well as of the dictator Ulises Hereux.
This building was renovated in 1983, becoming a ten-room hotel. It is located
near a major commercial district.
