Minotel Reina Cristina is a typical Andalusian former family
house with its patios and fountains transformed into a hotel in the centre of
Granada. Granada has been declared a cultural capital, a title granted for its
500 year old University, its music, theatre, craftsmanship and gastronomy. Its
sights show both the former Arab presence, such as the Alhambra and the Albaycin
as wellas those of Christian tradition, like the the Royal Chapel, the Cathedral
or the Monastery of Cartuja.
The Hotel Reina Cristina is located in what used to be the Rosales' family house,
where the poet Federico Garcia Lorca spent his last days. The owners of the
hotel have made every possible effort to keep the building the same as it was
when the Rosales lived there. The building, of typical Andalusian style, with
patios and fountains, reminds of the poet and is surrounded by the commercial
and social centre of Granada.
