The Illawarra hinterland is also waiting for your exploration with the coastal townships of Shellharbour and Kiama, as well as Jamberoo, Minnamurra rainforest and the Illawarra escarpment.
The climate is seasonal, although temperatures are for the most part moderate with warm months stretching 6 to 9 months per annum. There is no wet season although winter rains are experienced occasionally.
