The Wentworth was owned originally by Australia's leading airline, Qantas. It is now managed by the Rydges group of hotels. Opened in 1996, it features an unusual arced frontage which forms a garden courtyard facing Chifley Square.
There are 106 King-bedded rooms and 125 twins, plus seven styles of suite. The hotel has a total of 424 rooms and 46 suites
The foyer has a number of fine shops. The Wentworth is on the fringe of the financial district and a 5 minute walk from Circular Quay. The Rocks and the Sydney Opera House are about 15 minutes walk.
The Wentworth has more bars and restaurants than many newer hotels including the very good Club Grill restaurant and Bar, which is an English style a la carte grill room featured steaks and seafood.
