There are many hotels in Sydney but only one Simpsons of Potts Point, the small intimate hotel created from the restoration of an 1892 stately Potts Point mansion.
Built as the family residence of John Lane Mullins, a member of the New South Wales Colonial Parliament, Simpsons was designed in 1892 by leading Sydney architect, John Bede Barlow. The glory of this house has been recaptured in the imaginative restoration which provides spacious rooms, grand halls and stained glass windows.
All rooms or suites are individually air conditioned (as well as having ceiling fans). All feature STD/ISD telephones and en-suite bathrooms.
