The Walkabout Lodge is situated on the Gove Peninsula in Arhnem Land, and has beach front location, restaurants, fine dining and bistro, poolside dining and BBQ facilities. All rooms are air conditioned with ensuites, television, tea and coffee making facilities and telephone.
Situated on an absolute waterfront location overlooking the azure waters of the Arafura Sea, the Lodge has forty ensuite rooms, some with views of our pool and the ocean. It has superb bar and dining facilities where you can relax after a days fishing to talk about your experiences.
The Gove Peninsular and the nearby Wessels, Brombies and English Company Islands are the World's largest great untouched fishing wilderness. A chain of islands over 100kms in length are just a short cruise from Gove Harbour. Unsurpassed in beauty. Unspoilt reefs and estuaries abounding with fish ready to provide both the expert and the occasional fishing enthusiast with days to remember.
The tropical climate is superb with an average day time temperature around 28 degrees C. Our boat is 10m Supercat with skipper, bait, tackle, eskies, shade, toilet and caters for up to 10 passengers in comfort and safety. Half and full day charters are available as well as overnight fishing trips.
