Lemonthyme Lodge is a Wilderness Retreat, with a difference. Situated 65 km south of Devonport, and 30 minutes from Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park at the end of an 8 km stretch of unsealed road, Lemonthyme Lodge is the largest "real" log cabin in the Southern Hemisphere. The Lodge is nestled amongst pristine temperate rainforest on a valley side just above Lake Cethana.
Stay in one of the luxury wilderness spa cabins near the main lodge enabling you to enjoy your stay with that added touch of luxury and privacy. Meals are available in the lodge throughout the day, and picnic baskets are available to people seeking to take advantage of the beautiful bushlands in the surrounding area. The evening meals, created using fine quality Tasmanian produce, are a hallmark of Lemonthyme's renowned hospitality and after dining, guests can take in the antics of the local wildlife in this natural wonderland.
The accommodation offered appeals to all budgets from private bedrooms in the lodge with shared toilet and bathroom facilities, to 2 bedroom self-contained family cabins or one bedroom Tree Top Cabins, some of which have spas with the latest additions, being our Luxury Wilderness Cabins. These are all furnished with Huon Pine or Black-Hearted Sassafras.
The Lodge produces 50KW of power, enough to service the entire complex, by means of a turbine situated on the local creek. Wood heaters situated in all of the cabins and Lodge provide enough heat to combat the severest of weather conditions. We even have the fires going for guests checking-in.
