From Lamon Farm, you can look down on to Melbourne. Whilst the city bustles in the distance (one hour's drive away) there is peace and tranquility on this 30 acre property.
Nestled against the Kinglake National Park, wildlife consisting of wombats, wallabies and the rare lyre bird are frequently observed. Bird life abounds. Lamon Farm grows nashi and chestnuts: in roasting the nuts, with a good glass of port, the stress of city life fades away. Take a stroll on the farm, through southern rainforest or visit numerous berry farms in the district. Lamon Farm is within 10 min. of the Yarra Valley Wineries, local art galleries and potteries.
Accommodation consists of three ensuite rooms and two lounge areas, one with open fire place (for roasting those chestnuts), one crofters cottage with open fire place, and one cottage with wood fire and spa bath. An extensive library, music collection and games are available for further enjoyment.
English breakfast is served using free-range eggs and home-made jams. A cheese platter, coffee and port can be enjoyed at night
