
Castle Hotel, York, Western Australia
The Castle Hotel is the second oldest hotel in Western Australia, built for Mr. Samuel Craig, by convict labour in the early 1850s and completed in 1853. The hotel has had 4 major extensions over the years with the last being a block of 24 motel units constructed in the late 1980s. The Craig family owned the Hotel until the late 1980s.
The hotel offers two styles of accommodation: well appointed motel suites, all with ensuites, airconditioning, Television, tea & coffee making facilities one executive suite with spa. Old style hotel rooms with share facilities and a common guest lounge.
