You will be hard pushed to find larger guest suites in any boutique lodging located in a private home. Both have ensuites, double and single beds, their own living area, French doors opening onto the patio, tea and coffee making facilities, and rural views over this 350 acre working deer and sheep farm.
Being 45 minutes from Hastings it is recommended that you eat in for dinner. Shona is a very keen cook. The homewas built in 1987 and is not the drafty farmhouse of yesteryear. It is warm and cosy, with lots of art, flowers and rugs to make you feel comfortable.
Bay and Shona recommend a stay of at least two days so you can maximise your farm experience such as watching milking at the nearby rotary shed. You are welcome to join your hosts in a farm tour or go river swimming or play tennis on the grass tennis court. There is a golf course nearby and the Hawkes Bay wineries are 45 minutes north.
