The Maitai Polynesia is a standard class hotel, located in the Matira Point area of Bora Bora island. Opened in 1998, the hotel overlooks a lagoon teeming with fish, with neighboring islands Raiatea and Tahaa on the horizon. The property is on to a white sand beach and close to shopping areas.
The architecture, entirely Polynesian in style provides a local look that blends naturally into the environment: along the shore with the typical overwater and beach bungalows or the comfortable air-conditioned rooms nestled in the mountain.
The hotel has undergone a total renovation and expansion. Located on the main beach of Bora Bora, between the Moana Parkroyal and The Sofitel Marara. All the bungalows as well as the restaurant are crafted in traditional style, with exotic woods and pandanus roofs, with all the amenities.
There are outrigger canoes, a swimming pool, snorkeling equipment and motu picnics available as well as an activity desk to help with booking SCUBA diving, shark feeding excursions, Waverunner rentals, car rentals, Parasailing.
