Hotel Matira (2 stars): a small family hotel on the Matira point on Bora Bora's south coast. 20 minutes from Bora Bora's airport. The hotel is situated on a white sandy beach near the southern tip of Bora Bora. It offers a good location for swimming or snorkeling.
The 35 beachfront, garden and mountain bungalows are designed in local style. Bungalows come in garden, ocean view or beach front settings.
The beachfront restaurant (closed on Mondays) is the only Chinese restaurant on the island. Arrangements can be made for bicycle or car rentals as well as various lagoon and land excursions.
