Yacuma, a jungle lodge in Ecuador, was created for nature lovers. It is simple, nice, cozy and located in a beautiful spot on the shores of the Chontayacu River in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest. It has a main area consisting of typical Quechua bungalows with accommodation for 2 guests with beds, matresses and mosquito nets. It also has a separate kitchen and dining area and a separate toilet and shower area as well. Fresh water is obtained from a clear water spring and treated for safe consumption.
Located 4-5 hour drive from Quito will take you to the upper basin of the Amazonas River. After enjoying beautiful sceneries, you will arrive to the small city of Tena. From Tena, a 2-hour drive is necessary to arrive to the indigenous village of San Pedro on the shores of the Napo River. From here, after a 30 minutes navigation, canoes will take you to the lodge.
