On the edge of the Machu Picchu village, (or Aguas Calientes), the Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel rests above the river Urubamba. It is a compound of tile-roofed casitas scattered across a hillside.
Eighty-six rooms, each indivual. Adobe hand-made bricks, eucalyptus wood and cut stone are some of the building materials that give this Andean retreat a feeling of warmth.
The spacious double rooms are comfortable. Each casita is bathed in natural light, surrounded by gardens. Every site within the property has a view of the mountains, and is within earshot of the river Urubamba. Each room offers pure alpaca blankets, extra long double beds, and a spacious modern bathrooms supplied by mountain spring water.
The main house offers a lounge coupled with spacious open areas, a fireplace and comfortable sofas.
A short walk from the property is the Machu Picchu village (or Aguas Calientes), where you can buy local crafts or find your way to the thermal water baths. A few minutes by bus takes you to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
